With the help of a magnifying glass you can recognize all the characteristics of a modern cut: A circle girdle, at least 32 facetted plus a table in the upper part, also at least 24 facetted plus a cutlet in the lower part

Only diamonds cut in that fashion, are allowed to be called Brilliants.
